Middles Sudoku
This puzzle is similar in a way to the Isolated Sudoku, but a bit simpler to explain. If the theme there was "numbers that are by themselves" then the theme this week is "numbers that are in the middle."
Between any four cells of the same cage, the clues here reveal the numbers that you get when you take the values of those cells in the solution, and toss out the smallest and largest. Since we are using the two middle numbers as clues, we call this Middles Sudoku.
These puzzles need a small nudge in order to arrive at a unique solution, since naturally solutions come in fours. It might be fun to ponder why, if this isn't obvious to you. Thus we add one more small restriction: a circle in a cell reveals that cell cannot contain one or nine.
